My ‘to-read’ pile

My to-read pile is very short at the moment, but I’m slowly working my way through these books:

The Information, James Gleick

A history of information and the way it’s changed our lives.

Black Swan, Nassim Taleb

Nothing to do with the Natalie Portman film – I had trouble interpreting the blurb, but I figure it’s something to do with unpredictability! I’ve seen Nassim Taleb quoted a lot recently, so thought I should read something of his.

The Signal and the Noise, Nate Silver

The blurb promises this book will help me make better predictions in my own life.  I’m sceptical, but interested in what the author has to say about data analysis and prediction.
